first hair brushing

Today Grandma asked if she could brush Austin's hair.  I have never done it, but she was really excited about it.  Here are the results.

Thank you GAR and GAG

Austin's Great uncle Greg and Great aunt Rose sent Austin this cute baseball Tshirt and a cute monkey pen!  He didn't know what do at first because it didn't have Tigers on it so he cried...
but then I explained that he had to be polite and wear it-  because his aunt and uncle live in  St. Louis they don't know how great the Tigers are and the only thing they have are the Cardinals.  I had to give him his Michigan hat and then he was much happier.

Hats off to ya...

Austin's Dedication

At the end of March, Austin was dedicated with his cousin Landon at Grandpa Bob's church. I think I wrote about it earlier, but here are the pictures that I just got. Thanks so much to Don Mancier for taking them.

no camera

I dont know why I didnt have my camera all day, but we had a busy, fun day and have NO pictures.  Use your imagination...

First Austin and I went to the discover Milan days parade and saw all the little leaguers kick off their season and walk in the parade.  The fire truck honked right in front of us, scaring Austin, but he fought back his tears like a tough guy.

We then headed back home to get ready for our big afternoon.  All the mom's from small group went to lunch (we missed you Dirsa and Tracy) and the guys stayed home with all the kids.  I am sure they had as much fun as we did as the kids were great and all the little ones slept.  They grilled, hung out and played rock band.

After we got home Austin and I went back out walking and to check out more of Milan Days.
We made it just in time for the rubber ducky race in the river and got to see the "winner."  We also got to see our friend Elizabeth dance as apart of Milan days.  Great random timing for all that.

By that time it was a little late for the garage sales, but we hit up a few and found a cute hat and a couple of pairs of pants.

Austin finally fell asleep at the end of the walk so i carried the whole stroller in the house and let him sleep in that for awhile.  We then had dinner, watched the Tigers win, had a bath and went to bed....  Man what a day!
